Back for some TLC from JSW
It has been a busy summer for AC Bluebird, with various trips to Brands Hatch, Brooklands and a few races and track days at Goodwood. Most recently the brakes have been pulling to the left, or, on a few occasions, I had no brakes at all. A few bumps had appeared on the bodywork. The indicators stopped working a couple of days ago. The oil was black enough to get âStop Oilâ protesters very excited. And there was a funny smell from under the passengersâ seat.
So, AC Bluebird has returned to JSW in Waterlooville for some much-needed TLC. This will mean that I will miss the ACOC Sprint in AC Bluebird at Santa Pod Raceway and a few Brooklands events, but I am hoping the car will be ready later in the Autumn for me to take it to Coniston and have it photographed outside the Ruskin Museum.
Spot the bump!
On a separate note, my book âReckless!â continues to sell very well and copies have been sent as far away as Argentina and Israel! Iâm not sure why someone in Argentina would want to read about a crazy Englishman and his antics with an old car, but it is very satisfying to know that someone the other side of the World wants to read my story.
