Top Racer Derek Bell Takes AC Bluebird for a Spin

It was a great thrill to have racing driver and winner of five Le Mans 24 hour races, Derek Bell, take the wheel of AC Bluebird.

At a recent Dementia charity event Derek drove AC Bluebird around the Goodwood circuit several times and showed me how I can save a few seconds at St Mary’s and Woodcote corners.

It was a massive pleasure to see what AC Bluebird can do in the hands of a top racing driver. Derek chatted on each lap of the circuit, but I couldn’t hear a word.

It was such an amazing adventure, and Derek is a top man. Great respect! It turns out that I will be racing against Derek in the Ennstal Classic in Austria next year. Looking forward to that! Special thanks to the indefatigable Rupert Cobb for taking some amazing photos.
