Ullswater by train

This is it, I am on my way to Ullswater, by train!

AC Bluebird is already in the Lake District, on display at the Lakeland Motor Museum, where visitors are invited to have a close look at the car.

During this week the car will be filmed by a professional crew at various locations around the Ullswater area. The film of the car is for a special media programme and to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Donald Campbell’s first record breaking success on 23 July 1955.

I feel very excited about the next few days. For so long I have wanted to visit the locations of Donald Campbell’s great achievements and spending time at Ullswater will mean so much to me.

The staff at the Lakeland Motor Museum have been fantastic and I’m very grateful for all they have done to include my car in their Donald Campbell display. It is a great Museum and anyone visiting the Lake District this summer will discover that the Museum has a lot to offer and some outstanding displays.

Ullswater Steamers has also been exceptionally helpful and allowed drone filming from one of their boats. It is going to be a great few days, I just hope the sun shines!
