It was a Struggle!
So, I am into Day Two of my trip to Cumbria. Today started with more filming at the brilliant Lakeland Motor Museum where AC Bluebird attracted a lot of attention and Chris and Neil got the car started after it had been static for so long.. The Lakeland Motor Museum is a wonderful place for anyone interested in cars, or the Campbell legacy, it is amazing.
We then moved on to Ambleside and the film crew wanted to get footage of me driving AC Bluebird along a road called the ‘Struggle’.
It was a challenging drive, especially with cars coming towards me along the narrow road with few passing spaces. The Police turned up and allowed us to close the road briefly while I drove the car and the crew filmed it.
Quite an amazing day, with so much help and support from local people. Tomorrow we are at Ullswater, where I hope to reunite AC Bluebird with K7. It will be a special moment if it is allowed to happen. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
